When I read your post I had to Google ' Parrotlet ' because I had never heard of it before ! writing

Yes, jooli, but the parrotlets are amazing and great talkers.

We had a Nanday Conure named Linda for many years.
She didn't talk but she was hilarious with her antics.
To help her to get some sleep while the light was on we put a small piece of cloth across part of her cage to give her some shade. She kept pulling it into the cage so we tied it to the top of the cage. She responded by dragging it through the bars and arranging it into a tent. She pulled it round herself and hooked a claw into it at the back to keep herself steady.
All we would see was her eyes through a small gap at the front.
